How to start a movement in under 3 minutes

I stumbled on a video from TED about the way a movement starts. It sounded so logical. The movement starts with a single person. Then a follower may join. Then subsequent followers join if they agree with the movement. It may then take off like a rocket (unless someone plays with the controls).
